Description
The Pipe Layer installs, repairs, and maintains sanitary and stormwater sewer structures and pipe systems. Duties include laying out pipe routes, digging and grading trenches, cutting and connecting pipes, sealing joints, covering pipes, locating existing pipes, and operating construction equipment. The role also trains others and provides supervision, and requires outdoor work in all weather, heavy lifting, physical dexterity, and the ability to operate concrete vibrators and climb heavy mobile equipment.
