August Schell is hiring a full-time PKI Operations Engineer in Fort Meade, Maryland, for a hybrid role supporting a DoD enterprise Public Key Infrastructure for a DISA customer. The position operates and hardens a Red Hat Certificate System environment, manages certificate lifecycles and RA/CRL/OCSP operations, onboards customers and enclaves, performs CVE remediation and patching, monitors system health, troubleshoots HSM integrations, automates operational tasks, and supports post-quantum cryptography migration. Candidates need at least five years of systems or operations engineering experience, strong Linux and PKI operations expertise, RHCS or comparable enterprise CA experience, scripting proficiency, and DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification.
