Description
Harris & Associates is hiring a Plan Check Engineer for its Municipal team in southern California. The role performs independent plan checks of municipal infrastructure projects, including development improvement plans, grading, streets, storm drains, hydrology, water, recycled water, and sewer submittals; evaluates designs for accuracy, constructability, maintainability, and operability; tracks budgets and milestones; and coordinates with agency staff, inspectors, developers, engineers, and the public. The position may be performed remotely or in a client office and offers part-time-to-full-time staffing augmentation. A civil engineering degree is required, while a professional engineering license and at least five years of relevant civil engineering, plan check, or pipeline design experience are preferred. Compensation is $54–$68 per hour.
