Description
The Municipality of Anchorage is hiring a Plan Reviewer I in its Development Services department to manage residential and commercial building and land-use permits from application through certificate of occupancy. The role includes answering technical code questions, making engineering judgments, reviewing specifications, coordinating plan reviews, handling customer complaints and phone calls, and managing cashiering and cash administration. The position is based at 4700 Elmore Road, Monday through Friday from 08:00 to 17:00, with possible telecommuting after successful probation. Applicants must meet one of three education-and-experience combinations, pass a background check, and be authorized to work in the United States; the municipality does not provide visa sponsorship.
