Description
The Planning Assistant I reviews and coordinates development permit applications, researches planning, zoning, property ownership, and land-use issues, analyzes applications for compliance, responds to public concerns, and provides technical guidance to developers, engineers, attorneys, planners, and other interested parties. The role requires advanced knowledge of zoning, subdivision, platting, and development standards, computer and mapping skills, and the ability to interpret site plans and aerial photographs. Applicants must have an associate degree plus two years of relevant experience or a high school diploma plus four years of experience, along with a valid Florida driver's license and eligibility to become a Notary Public.
