Description
The Planning Division Manager performs general management and administrative work for planning, zoning, comprehensive planning, the Planning and Zoning Commission, and permitting. The role coordinates with the Development Services Director, manages planning division staff and projects, prepares and administers budgets, responds to citizen concerns, and maintains relationships with county officials and the community. It requires a bachelor’s degree in urban design, urban planning, or a related field, eight years of progressively responsible government experience in urban or regional planning, five years of administrative, managerial, and supervisory experience, and 24-hour on-call availability for emergencies.
