Description
The Senior County Planner leads a team of planners and oversees planning projects, policies, ordinances, legislation, programs, and the County’s Sustainable Growth Management Plan. The role includes supervising and training staff, developing community, open space, capital, transportation, and water plans, analyzing demographic and land-use data, reviewing development applications, managing professional services and grants, representing the County at public hearings, and coordinating with agencies and the public. It requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, five years of relevant experience including two years in urban and regional planning or a specialty area, and two years of supervisory experience.
