Description
The Maintenance Engineer performs maintenance, installation, and repair of automated control systems, heating and cooling, pneumatic tube, electronic and mechanical, fire alarm, and refrigeration systems at Detroit Receiving Hospital. The role may include computer programming, graphics, remote equipment control, sensor monitoring, welding, and coordination of major repairs. Qualifications include the ability to read and speak English, a certificate in Pneumatics and Hydraulics, Climate Control Technology, or an Associate’s Degree in Electronics, plus one to two years of relevant industrial repair, welding, hospital or welding equipment, or refrigeration experience; additional motor-control, pneumatic/DDC, and computer-programming experience may be required depending on the specialty.
