Description
The Plant Operator operates and maintains natural gas amine treating plants, compressors, dehydrators, separation equipment, valves, measurement systems, and pipeline systems from a control center and onsite. The role includes equipment startup and shutdown, monitoring and adjusting operating conditions, responding to emergencies, SCADA monitoring, minor maintenance, safety and regulatory compliance, record keeping, customer notifications, site upkeep, and supervision of contract maintenance labor. It requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, basic computer and math skills, plant systems knowledge, strong communication and judgment, physical ability to work outdoors and in confined or elevated spaces, and availability for a rotating 14-days-on/14-days-off schedule while staying in company housing.
