Description
The Plant Process Engineer will control and improve polyurethane, protective paint, and coating manufacturing processes by analyzing blending and filling operations, developing safety procedures, troubleshooting chemical processes, optimizing equipment and production layouts, conducting performance tests, preparing production reports, and executing capital projects. The role collaborates with Operations, Safety, Maintenance, Controls, and Leadership; is primarily first shift with some flexibility, and is based in a PSM facility. A BS in Chemical Engineering is preferred, while industrial and electrical engineers with hands-on mechanical and chemical experience may also be considered. The position requires at least two years of engineering experience, strong process management and communication skills, and leadership experience in production, safety, quality, and Lean manufacturing. The salary target range is $85,000–$105,000 with bonus eligibility.
