Description
The Plasma Coating Operator prepares, thermally sprays, inspects, and processes industrial gas turbine components using plasma spray and related coating technologies. The role applies protective coatings such as thermal barrier, bond, abradable, and wear-resistant coatings; prepares parts through blasting, masking, and cleaning; verifies coating quality; maintains equipment; and supports production, quality, and engineering teams. Candidates need a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years of plasma or thermal spray equipment experience, knowledge of thermal spray processes, and the ability to read technical drawings and use inspection equipment.
