Thea Energy is hiring an experienced Plasma-Material Interaction (PMI) Manager to lead the development and qualification of plasma-facing materials and components for its Eos and Helios stellarators. The role covers plasma-surface interaction research, experimental campaigns, test-facility operations, external research and procurement partnerships, erosion and thermal-shock modeling, and the translation of data into validated inputs for plasma transport and engineering designs. Candidates need a relevant Ph.D., at least 8 years of technical experience in plasma-surface interactions, high-temperature materials, or magnetic confinement fusion engineering, and 3+ years managing technical projects or multidisciplinary teams. The position offers a salary of $130,000-$165,000, health benefits, equity stock options, and 20 days of paid time off.
