Thea Energy is hiring a Plasma Physicist to design and develop stellarator divertors, with a focus on the Eos stellarator. The role involves optimizing divertor magnetic and mechanical geometry, analyzing edge magnetic fields, developing fluid-plasma simulation algorithms, creating divertor operation scenarios, validating models, and preparing technical reports and publications. Candidates need a PhD in plasma physics or a related field with at least two years of experience, or a master’s degree with at least five years of experience, along with fusion-device boundary experience and proficiency in scientific programming languages. The position offers a salary of $120,000 to $195,000, health benefits, equity stock options, and 20 days of paid time off.
