Description
The Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon provides hands-on surgical care, evaluates and treats patients, performs and coordinates plastic and reconstructive procedures, manages complications, directs operating-room staff, and teaches and trains resident physicians. The role also supports quality improvement, patient safety, and department administration. Requirements include an MD or DO, current unrestricted medical licensure, two years of private or hospital practice experience, pediatric plastic surgery experience, and preferably board certification or eligibility and experience in the developing world.
