Description
Apple is hiring a Plastic Tooling Engineer to develop and support plastic tooling for a specific commodity, covering support-part design, tool concepts, process reviews, DFM, and T0–Tf tooling. The role collaborates with Quality Engineering, Global Supply Management, Product Design, and Industrial Design to create manufacturing solutions that meet quality, cost, yield, capacity, schedule, and environmental goals. Responsibilities include evaluating design priorities, selecting fabrication processes, documenting processes, conducting DOE process optimization, communicating development status, and supporting international manufacturing partner sites. The position requires a BS in engineering, at least 15 years of plastic injection molding experience, and English communication skills; Mandarin fluency, plastics engineering, molding-shop management, and mold-flow experience are preferred.
