Description
Google is hiring a Platform Customer Engineer to serve as a direct technical pre-sales advisor for automotive manufacturers and suppliers. The role leads discovery and architectural discussions, builds proofs-of-concept, guides customers in designing secure cloud and edge solutions, partners with Sales on technical account strategies, and represents customer feedback to Google Cloud engineering and product teams. The position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, four years of cloud-native architecture experience, and expertise in cloud engineering, virtualization, containerization, conversational agents, generative AI, and automotive or manufacturing verticals. Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, manufacturing or automotive industry experience, and experience with data pipelines or agentic AI workflows. The role is based in Munich, Berlin, Frankfurt am Main, or Hamburg, Germany, with a stated base salary of €92,000–€94,000 plus a bonus target, equity, and benefits.
