Description

Flexential is hiring a mid-level Platform Engineer for a 12-month contract to configure, instrument, and operationalize its enterprise observability platform. The role focuses on the LGTM stack in Kubernetes, including Grafana, Mimir, Loki, Tempo, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry collectors, along with dashboards, scrape configurations, incident management workflows, AIOps, Terraform, Ansible, GitLab CI/CD, and platform onboarding. The position is remote, ideally available in Central, Mountain, or Pacific time zones from 8 a.m. onward, with an expected start date of ASAP and a sell rate of 80 per hour.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 3+ years of Python and YAML automation scripting, configuration authoring, and pipeline development
2+ years of Terraform and Ansible experience in a GitOps model, including Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management
2+ years deploying and managing production workloads with Kubernetes and Helm
1+ years administering PostgreSQL or similar systems and integrating platforms
2+ years developing CI/CD pipelines and managing GitOps workflows
Strong hands-on experience installing, configuring, and administering the LGTM stack
Experience authoring Grafana dashboards, configuring data sources, and building alerting rules
2+ years writing Prometheus scrape configurations, configuring service discovery, and managing remote_write pipelines
1+ years configuring OpenTelemetry collectors, working with OTLP pipelines, and understanding SDK instrumentation
Experience designing and implementing end-to-end Major Incident Management workflows based on ITSM standards
Preferred Qualifications: Experience integrating observability platforms with ServiceNow for alert-to-ticket automation
Familiarity with Zabbix for device auto-discovery and inventory management at scale
Experience with AIOps tooling for anomaly detection and event correlation
Experience with secrets management integrations using CyberArk and Conjur
