Harper is hiring a Platform Engineer to build and operate core infrastructure for databases, AWS, networking, CI/CD, observability, SRE, and AI tooling. The role focuses on reliable, scalable systems for thousands of concurrent AI operations, developer velocity, incident response, and evaluation infrastructure. It requires software engineering experience with a platform, infrastructure, or SRE focus, proficiency in Python, TypeScript, Go, or similar, and production experience with AWS, Postgres, and observability. The position is in-office in San Francisco, Monday through Friday, with a salary of $140,000–$280,000 plus bonuses and equity.
