Wispr is hiring a backend infrastructure engineer to own the systems that keep its voice products fast, available, and safe as the company scales. The role focuses on decoupling compute and data storage, building observability and alerting for FastAPI services, creating isolated test environments, improving global availability and redundancy, and removing production bottlenecks. Candidates should have experience scaling independent compute and storage systems, production observability, infrastructure ownership, deployment and on-call responsibilities, and developer workflow improvements. Prior voice, machine learning, model-serving, or SRE experience is not required, and the company sponsors several visa categories.
