Description

Booz Allen is hiring a Platform Operations Lead to guide the operation and evolution of a secure, scalable cloud data platform supporting critical government financial systems in AWS GovCloud. The role leads resilient cloud architectures, lifecycle management, automation, monitoring, cloud migration, legacy modernization, and incident management, while requiring 10+ years of platform, cloud, site reliability, and infrastructure engineering experience. The position is hybrid in Washington, District of Columbia, and offers an annualized compensation range of $112,800 to $257,000.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree
Required Previous Experiences: 10+ years leading platform operations, cloud operations, site reliability engineering, and infrastructure engineering teams
Experience operating and supporting AWS GovCloud data platforms
Experience managing cloud infrastructure with infrastructure-as-code and operating Databricks in secure environments
Experience supporting production distributed systems, APIs, microservices, containers, and Kafka
Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines
Experience automating operational tasks, patching, configuration management, and environment provisioning
Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting or modernizing government financial systems
Experience operating in multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments
Experience with event streaming platforms
Experience with SRE-aligned reliability, fault injection, and Chaos Engineering
AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer Professional certification
Databricks Data Engineering certification
