Description
The Plumber performs journeyman-level plumbing work installing, modifying, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in school district buildings and facilities. Responsibilities include installing and testing back-flow preventors, repairing sprinkler systems, connecting metal, copper, and plastic piping, replacing fixtures, reviewing work orders and building plans, procuring materials, complying with safety and building codes, maintaining records, and possibly supervising employees. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid Texas driver's license, a journeyman or tradesman license, at least four years of experience working under a master plumber, and knowledge of commercial and industrial plumbing practices and codes.
