Description
The Area Operator acts as the asset owner for a production area, operating equipment safely in accordance with SIG’s zero EHS impact philosophy, supporting production schedules, and reporting improper equipment immediately. The role includes safe LOTO, truck driving and spotting, material loading and unloading, equipment inspection and troubleshooting, SAP work, and possible hazardous-waste handling. It reports to the Production Supervisor and requires 0–3 years of industrial manufacturing experience, a high school diploma or GED, mechanical and math skills, chemical-process knowledge, and the ability to perform physically demanding work.
