Description

Provo City is seeking experienced and certified Police Officers for lateral transfer. The position offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid leave. Responsibilities include enforcing laws, responding to emergencies, investigating crimes, and apprehending suspects. Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, Utah POST certification or eligibility, a valid Driver's License, and be a US citizen or lawful permanent resident. Lateral transfers are eligible for a $5,000 signing bonus and placement at Police Officer II, Senior, or Master levels based on experience.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
Required Previous Experiences: 2 years of certified law enforcement officer experience
minimum of two years of law enforcement experience equivalent to the level of a Provo City Police Officer 1
minimum of 3 years of law enforcement experience as a Provo Police Officer II OR 5 years of comparable experience as a law enforcement officer
minimum of nine years of law enforcement experience
Preferred Qualifications: Utah POST Advanced Officer Training or Provo P.D. Advanced Officer course (or approved equivalent)
Special team assignment experience
POST Mid-Management Certificate, or Launching Learning Revolution Training with written exams (80% score or higher), IACP Leadership in Police Organizations Program course
