Description
The role oversees the development, implementation, monitoring, and enforcement of organizational policies and processes in a shipping environment. Responsibilities include drafting and updating policies, improving and streamlining processes, ensuring regulatory and company compliance, leading policy rollouts, identifying process gaps, establishing an internal audit process, monitoring effectiveness, and managing demurrage balances and collection efforts. The position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in management or logistics, at least 10 years of professional experience across shipping disciplines including finance, commercial, and demurrage or detention, computer skills, strong communication, ethical conduct, attention to detail, confidentiality, and interpersonal skills.
