Description
The LYCRA Company is hiring a Polymer Control Room & Field Operator for its Waynesboro, Virginia manufacturing plant. The role operates multiple production lines from a control room using a distributed control system, makes batches with powder and liquid ingredients, operates valves and pumps, troubleshoots equipment, completes field rounds, oversees sampling and continuous product release, and follows safety and compliance procedures. The position reports to the Polymer Operations Group Leader and requires daytime training followed by night shifts from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., including weekends and holidays. Candidates need at least one year of control room experience or two years of machine operator experience, or an associate degree or higher in a technical field, along with Microsoft Office experience, physical ability, and the ability to work overtime.
