Description
The Lifeguard observes swimmers and patrons, enforces pool rules, responds to emergencies, provides water rescues and first aid, monitors water quality, operates pool equipment, maintains records, and supports aquatic programs. The role requires high school graduation or equivalent, a valid American Red Cross or YMCA Lifeguard certificate, and some relevant experience; desirable experience includes lifeguarding, swim-team coaching, or water polo. The position is associated with the Long Beach Unified School District in Long Beach, California.
