Description
S:US is looking for a Porter to join their women's shelter in Manhattan. The Porter will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and performing minor repairs in a residential shelter. This includes various cleaning duties like floor care, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, trash disposal, window and wall wiping, and elevator cleaning. Additionally, the Porter will carry out minor repairs such as painting, plastering, furniture repair, and ensuring safety equipment works properly. They will also handle exterior ground maintenance, conduct periodic inspections, manage building tools, launder linens, assist with boiler and water heater checks, move supplies, aid in interior decoration, perform pest control, drive agency vehicles, and maintain a clean uniform. The role requires adherence to schedules including weekends and evenings, attendance at meetings, and completion of training.
