Description
The Positive Behavior Support Specialist designs, implements, and evaluates positive behavior support strategies for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. The role assesses behavioral challenges, develops behavior support plans using positive reinforcement, teaches new skills, supports families and caregivers, monitors progress, and collaborates with educators and other professionals. It requires a master’s degree in a behavioral science, one year of behavioral programming experience, two years of direct service experience, and several required certifications and background checks.
