Description
The University of Florida is hiring a Post-Doctoral Associate in Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Chemistry to work on a project led by Dr. Thorpe in the Department of Chemistry. The role develops and implements machine learning techniques to extend and accelerate quantum chemical simulations of complex molecules and reactions. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in physical or theoretical chemistry, artificial intelligence or machine learning, or a related field, along with experience applying machine learning to quantum chemistry and programming in Python and C++. The position is initially awarded for one year and may be renewed for up to three years, with applications accepted until 15 December 2026.
