The Center for Bioelectronics at Old Dominion University is hiring a full-time Post-Doctoral Research Associate to develop biosensors and bioelectronics, integrate organic materials, and contribute to molecular biology and tissue-engineering research. The role involves designing and implementing techniques such as cell-based assays, western blotting, qPCR, ELISA, and flow cytometry; evaluating materials for implantable and wearable applications; and mentoring technicians and students. Applicants need a Ph.D. in a relevant field, strong molecular biology and biochemistry expertise, experience with cell culture and technical writing, and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary laboratory. The position is non-permanent, renewable annually for up to two years, and is based in Norfolk, Virginia.
