Neo4j is hiring a post-doctoral researcher for its UK-based Aurendil project, which aims to build a new query-language runtime for graph databases. The role involves end-to-end development of a database system architecture, from theoretical foundations through implementation and evaluation, and dissemination of results to product teams and the academic community. Candidates should have systems-research experience and expertise in areas such as query languages, compilers, parallel or distributed computing, or hardware acceleration; experience with C++, Java, or Rust is beneficial. The position is based in London and requires significant in-office presence, with visa support available for exceptional international applications.
