Description
DTU Physics is seeking a postdoctoral researcher for a two-year full-time position in experimental nanophotonics and optical materials discovery. The role focuses on measuring the complex and anisotropic refractive indices of microscopic crystals and thin films using imaging ellipsometry, and on combining optical spectroscopy, microscopy, and resonant nanostructure characterization to link material properties with nanophotonic response. The researcher will prepare samples and fabricate resonant nanostructures, contributing to an optical materials dataset supporting photonic design and AI-guided materials discovery. The position requires a PhD or equivalent, significant experimental experience in optical characterization, and knowledge of light–matter interactions and materials physics; the expected start date is 1 January 2027 or according to mutual agreement.
