The Scientific Data Group at MAX IV Laboratory is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to develop and validate workflows for scientific data reduction and lossy compression for tomography and imaging applications. The role involves benchmarking compression methods, developing software tools and validation workflows, evaluating data quality with beamline scientists, contributing to FAIR data management practices, collaborating with European research facilities, organizing workshops and training, and disseminating results through publications and presentations. The position requires a relevant PhD, experience with scientific programming and large-scale datasets, proficiency in Python and a high-performance language, and is a full-time, fixed-term two-year appointment.
