The University of Pittsburgh Department of Neurology is hiring a full-time, in-person Postdoctoral Associate to lead human induced pluripotent stem cell and mouse-model research on ALS and related motor neuron disorders. The role involves establishing and differentiating iPSCs, developing patient-derived and genetically engineered disease models, conducting molecular, cellular, imaging, and animal experiments, analyzing data, preparing manuscripts and figures, contributing to grants, and supervising a research technician and junior lab members. The position requires a PhD or equivalent in a relevant life science field, hands-on iPSC and mouse-model experience, and strong molecular and cell biology skills.
