Description
The Bakkenist Lab at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to study how genomic DNA metabolism interacts with innate immune signaling, particularly how DNA-damage repair mechanisms metabolize cytoplasmic DNA and affect cGAS pathway recognition. The fellow will identify new targets that may increase inflammation in the tumor microenvironment, using reconstituted and cellular systems and CRISPR/Cas9 technology, and will serve as the lead scientist and first author on the research.
