Description
The University of Pittsburgh's Ophthalmology Department, specifically the X Chen lab, is seeking a postdoctoral fellow. The successful candidate will conduct scientific research focusing on understanding how vision emerges through eye input, brain imagination, and expectations. This involves using electrophysiological recordings and microstimulation in non-human primates to study visual processing under various conditions, including induced perception after blindness. The lab employs chronically implanted neuroprostheses with over 1000 electrodes to monitor and modulate neuronal activity.
