Description

New England Biolabs is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to conduct foundational research on the origin of RNA 5' caps. The successful candidate will develop and apply enzyme- and sequencing-based assays, present and publish novel findings, and support the supervision of graduate and undergraduate interns. This role involves working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment with access to cutting-edge research and bioinformatics tools.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Recent Ph.D. in biochemistry or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in formulating and testing hypotheses using enzymatic and next-generation sequencing assays (Illumina, ONT).
Record of publishing original scientific research in high-quality journals.
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to learn and apply cutting-edge bioinformatics tools for the analysis of genomic and metagenomic data.
Experience in the design and execution of high-throughput experiments.
