Description

The University of Edinburgh is hiring a Postdoctoral Fellow in Palaeontology and Phylogenetics for its Deep Time Cognition team. The role will gather and synthesize data on tetrapod brain anatomy, size, and shape using CT brain endocasts; use Bayesian statistics to test trends in brain-size change and correlations with neuron counts; and make predictions for neuron counts in extinct species. The position is full-time for 35 hours per week, fixed-term from January 2027 until 31 December 2028, with a salary of £41,064–£48,822 per annum.
