Description
The University of North Texas is hiring a Postdoctoral Research Associate to lead independent research and technical development of machine learning and artificial intelligence applications for additive manufacturing. The role focuses on creating digital manufacturing capabilities, developing physics-based and experimental datasets, optimizing processes, predicting defects and material properties, and supporting students, research proposals, publications, and presentations. Candidates must hold a doctorate in mechanical engineering, materials science and engineering, physics, or a related discipline with a research focus on machine learning or artificial intelligence in materials processing or manufacturing, and must have publications related to machine learning or artificial intelligence for additive manufacturing.
