Description
CEA is hiring a postdoctoral researcher to study the relationships between additive-manufacturing parameters, the microstructure, and the mechanical behavior of elastomer foams. The project involves characterizing porosity, anisotropy, and mechanical response using X-ray microtomography, DSC, FTIR, and mechanical testing, then developing a compressible hyperelastic constitutive model that accounts for anisotropy and microstructural quantities. The position is based at Le Ripault in France, lasts two years with two renewable one-year periods, and requires a PhD in mechanics or materials science, polymers, mechanical testing, X-ray microtomography, physicochemical characterization, and experimental sciences or finite element modeling.
