The Buck Institute for Research on Aging is hiring a Postdoctoral Researcher to study mitochondria–lysosome crosstalk in aging and cellular senescence. The role combines cell biology, advanced imaging, quantitative analysis, genetics, mechanistic perturbation, and computational approaches to understand organelle dysfunction and explore interventions for aging-associated phenotypes. The candidate will join the Zhou Lab’s multidisciplinary team and work with model systems, automated microscopy, high-content imaging, and machine learning. A PhD in cell biology or a related field, first-author publications, independent and collaborative research ability, and strong communication skills are required. Compensation is $73,760–$81,440, with medical, dental, and vision coverage and other benefits.
