Description
Michigan State University is hiring a Postdoctoral Scholar to study the molecular mechanisms of class switch recombination in living B cells using advanced single-molecule imaging techniques. The role involves real-time imaging of protein and RNA molecules, transcriptional switch-region activity, double-strand break formation, and intra-chromosomal deletion. The position is full-time, fixed-term, supported by a new NIH grant for up to four years based on performance, and located in East Lansing. Applicants must have recently completed a PhD in biology, biochemistry, or a related field; experience with cell culture, DNA damage repair, RNA biology, advanced microscopy, genome editing, computational data analysis, and single-molecule approaches is beneficial but not required.
