Description
The Fernandez-Busnadiego lab is hiring a postdoctoral scientist to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying peripheral neuropathies in Drosophila. The role involves generating and characterizing novel Drosophila lines, performing correlative cryo-light microscopy, cryo-focused ion beam milling, and cryo-electron tomography on intact Drosophila tissues, and analyzing cryo-ET data. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in neurobiology or a related field and extensive research experience in Drosophila cell biology and genetics; experience with structural methods is desired but not required. The position is based in a German university town and offers research infrastructure, professional development, and employee benefits.
