Description
SAIC is hiring a Database Subject Matter Expert (SME) to manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases in AWS RDS. The role covers database administration, security, query tuning, monitoring, automation, troubleshooting, schema design, documentation, and mentoring. Candidates need a bachelor's degree, at least five years of relevant experience, extensive RDS PostgreSQL experience, and strong knowledge of database performance, indexing, PostGIS, monitoring, scripting, and CI/CD. The position requires U.S. citizenship and a DHS Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain one.
