Description
Apple is hiring a CPU Power Engineer in Austin, Texas to drive CPU power budgeting, measurement, analysis, and optimization. The role collaborates with micro-architecture, RTL, physical design, library, technology, CAD, driving tools, and SOC teams to define power traces and metrics, optimize design operating points, model CPU power contributions, and use Synopsys Prime Power, RTL and gate-level analysis, physical design flows, and automation scripts. The position requires a master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related field, five years of experience in the offered or related occupation, and experience with CPU power budgets, RTL power analysis, power projections, microarchitecture, and physical design power convergence.
