HDR is hiring a Power Project Engineer to lead mechanical design for hydropower facilities from planning through construction. The role covers equipment studies, turbine and generator design, field investigations, inspections, constructability reviews, multidisciplinary coordination, specifications, drawings, calculations, reports, bid packages, and construction deliverables. The engineer will also manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, staffing, and client coordination, mentor early-career engineers, and collaborate with HDR’s national Hydropower and Power network. A bachelor’s degree in engineering, a professional engineering license, prior Power Market Sector project-execution experience, relevant design software skills, and approximately seven or more years of progressive hydropower or water-conveyance equipment experience are required or preferred.
