Description
The Electrical Interconnection Engineer provides engineering analysis and technical support for interconnecting new generators to the power system in compliance with NERC Standards, protocols, planning guides, and market guides. The role performs powerflow and transfer analysis studies, reviews interconnection applications, develops modeling tools and procedures, analyzes operating results, identifies workflow improvements, and communicates findings to internal and external stakeholders. It requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent education-and-experience combination, with entry-level experience under one year or level-2 experience of two years in the electric utility industry.
