ERCOT is hiring a Grid Analysis Engineer to perform power-system reliability analysis, including power-flow simulations, regional power-transfer studies, steady-state analyses, generator and transmission equipment evaluations, and Constraint Management Plan and Remedial Action Scheme development. The role supports operations, market and protocol design, reliability improvements, stakeholder presentations, and mentorship, and requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field, power-flow simulation and programming or scripting experience, and a minimum of 1 to 5 years of progressively responsible power-system engineering experience depending on the engineer level. The position is based in Taylor, Texas, with a hybrid schedule requiring at least two days per week on-site and remote work from a Texas residence, with an expected salary range of $87,000 to $120,000.
