First Gen is hiring a Power Trading Analyst to submit offer prices and volumes to WESM, monitor WESM outcomes, declare bilateral contract volumes, analyze power-grid and supply conditions, assess load behavior, perform day-ahead forecasts, optimize trading-portfolio dispatch, compile industry databases, and prepare reports on WESM and industry development. The role requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial (Management) Engineering, or Economics, with one year of Wholesale Electricity Spot Market Operations experience preferred.
