Description

The Powered Support Systems Mechanic, position D0324000, is a full-time, indefinite excepted service role in the 165th Maintenance Squadron, Garden City, Georgia. The position requires Georgia Army National Guard membership and is open to compatible Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve, or Air Force Active Duty members. Duties include troubleshooting, calibrating, repairing, and maintaining complex powered support equipment, rotary diesel engines, gas turbine systems, aerospace ground equipment, generators, compressors, and related test and shop equipment. The role also involves training maintenance personnel, conducting inspections and readiness evaluations, maintaining technical records, and performing safety and emergency-support duties. Military grades E4–E6 are required, along with compatible military assignments, mechanical and electrical maintenance experience, physical ability to lift up to 90 pounds, and the ability to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
